/ WINTER 2021
With temporary housing addressed for the 2022-23 school year, Kenyon College was looking at options for permanent relief for the following 2023-24 year. Bexley Hall, situated at the Northern end of Middle Path Row and initially built in 1839 circulated as a potential option.
The Tudor-Gothic historic building once housed the theological seminary and was the third permanent structure at Kenyon College. The proposed 3-story, historic renovation will utilize existing brick, structure, decorative wood trim and prominent stone features in the conversion from its current storage and office use to a 41-bed and 8-suite student housing showcase.
Lincoln Construction was honored and eager to accept Kenyon’s request to engage in yet another partnership on their campus. With the project currently under architectural and engineering design, the aggressive schedule is set-up to allow phased demolition and structural modifications to begin in March 2022 – all while design is completed to meet the full construction release to start in May 2022 that will lead to a July 2023 turn-over.
