Spring 2018

Construction at Goldfish Swim School is Moving Along

The Goldfish Swim School project in Lewis Center is moving forward as we continued working on the exterior packages throughout the remainder of the fall and into the winter season.  Lincoln and the steel and masonry crews completed the shell packages.  The framing and roof trusses are complete, and the roofing will be in place soon achieving temporary enclosure.   Moving forward, crews will be completing the interior packages and finishing the pool for the grand opening to occur in the summer of 2018.  This site will be the third Gold Fish Swim School, preceded by facilities in Dublin and Westerville, and is the first ground up facility in the Columbus area.

The project consists of convenient paved parking surrounding the new building containing approximately 10,000 square feet of space.  The building space is mostly divided into two types of spaces; the “dry side” and the “wet side”.  The “dry side” consists of member registration counters and retail sales as well as multi-colored changing huts and restrooms designed with a Caribbean theme.  The “wet side” contains the facility regulation size pool designed for instruction and events. The pool water is shallow and very warm (90 Degrees) to provide a comfortable and secure learning environment for the young students.  Dedicated to swimming safety, these facilities are highly popular and get a lot of public attention, especially in the spring time just in advance of swimming weather.
