Spring 2017
Emmanuel Chin Baptist Church Breaks Ground in Frigid Temperatures

The congregation of Emmanuel Chin Baptist Church is a unique one, made up of refugees from Myanmar who have found a home on the Far West Side of Columbus. Lincoln Construction is proud to play a role in this community’s next step as we begin to build the new Emmanuel Chin Baptist Church. We broke ground on a cold December day on what will be a 14,080-square foot, single story pre-engineered metal building with occupancy for up to 915 people. The sanctuary will be roughly 5,260-square feet and will hold up to 615 people. Once complete the church will have classrooms, offices, conference rooms and a kitchen for support. The facility will have an 800-amp electric service and utilize six various sized forced air systems located on the ground for heating and cooling. The church is being constructed on a 15-acre site, which will include recreation fields, a detention pond, community garden, area for future building expansion and asphalt surface parking to accommodate 206 spaces.

We look forward to a ribbon cutting later this year.
